Exhibition: The Popes and the Unity of the Latin World

On May 21, 2017 a new exhibition opened its doors on the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen Mannheim. With high technical effort, we’ve rebuilt  Rome in 3 time phases and produced unique cinematic reconstructions, which document how Rome’s destiny has been intertwined with christianity in general and the  ministry of the popes in particular.

For this ambitious project,  about 10 members of our team have revived Rome over a period of 6 months – on basis of multiple historical sources and existing reconstructions. This broad basis has been a real value for our work, yet also a great challenge. In order to create a realistic overall impression of the city, 156 buildings alone had to be  accurately re-modelled in 3D.  Yes, indeed: Rome hasn’t been built in just one day. The prouder we are of the result: never before has Rome been reconstructed in such attention to detail – in 3 time phases!!!

The exhibition is opened from May 21 to October 2017 in the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen Mannheim.
